About
Ksenia Shupenya - street photographer from Tallinn, Estonia. She started taking photos in 2011, when she got her first camera. Since then, street photography has remained her favorite genre of photography, but she has also tried herself in other areas, such as portrait, self-portrait, and product photography.
In 2021, she successfully completed an online photography course at Margarita Kareva’s School of Creative Photography, and from that moment on, she decided to take up photography professionally. Since 2021, she has been taking part in such photo contests as the 35 Awards Photo Contest, Sony World Photography Awards, One Eyeland Photography awards, Luxembourg Art Prize, and photo contests on the Picter Contests platform.
In 2023, she completed Georgy Pinkhasov’s online course “The Art of Photography”. That same year, her street photos were selected to decorate the sets for the play “The Imperial Madman” (directed by Julia Aug) at the Russian Drama Theater (Tallinn).
In September 2024, Ksenia’s photo project about architectural typologies took part in a group exhibition that was presented in SUPERRAUM gallery in Dortmund (Germany).
In October 2024, taking part in a photo competition organised by the Department of Development and Economy of the City of Narva (Estonia) in honour of the European Cooperation Day, the author's photographs won a special prize in the nomination - "The best photo of Krenholm manufacture".
